Above the fold: A marketing term that originates from the days when newspaper and print marketing were the primary form of advertisement and was the best real estate for your advertisement or story. Today, it applies to the portion of the website that loads and is visible before having to scroll further down. It is part of best practices to have the most important things in this section of your website.

EHR: EHR stands for Electronic Health Records. It is essentially synonymous with EMR (electronic medical records). EHRs are programs that are either in the cloud or on a computer in the office that allows for charting and in some cases, medical billing.

Hashtag: # - also known as a pound on your phone - specific to social media, hashtags allow for posts to be categorized and searched depending on where the post resides (on Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

Implementation: is the process that follows your decision to purchase the NextPatient solution to allow for patients to easily book and have their information populate directly into your EHR. The implementation process is different for every practice and is based on size, location and other practice projects or priorities. The typical length of implementation is between one and four weeks.
