To add a Provider you first need to log in to your NextPatient account at nextpatient.co/admin, click on the location where you would like to add the Provider (if you have access to multiple locations), then go to the Settings > Providers tab.

On the Providers tab you will have the ability to input the details for your new Provider. ***Note, you will need to send the Provider's photo to your NextPatient contact to upload for the time being.

If the heading is bolded in red it signifies the field is required for the Provider to be properly configured.

Name- This will be the Patient facing name that will display in the widget (i.e. John Smith, Dr. John Smith, or John Smith, M.D.)

Scheduling Enabled- Once you are ready for patients to schedule visits with this Provider, set this to Yes. Typically this is set to Yes from the onset, since we will only show available times if they are also properly configured in your EHR system.

Show in Search- Once you are ready to display the Provider in the widget, change this dropdown to Yes

Public Bio- Adding a short public bio can enhance the patient experience so they know a little more about their doctor. However, keep this bio short, usually 1-3 sentences, so it doesn't detract in a mobile booking experience.

Profile URL- If you would like to link to a more detailed Bio for the Provider then you can include the URL here.

Interface Provider- use this dropdown to select which Provider in your Practice Management this should be linked to.

Interface Exam Room- If applicable, select the Exam Room this Provider will uses for appointments, this is not a required field.

Notifications- Add in the best Email or Phone number if this provider would like to be notified when an appointment is booked.

After you fill in and click the Submit button, you have just added your new provider!

Next steps to be completed, if applicable:

If you restrict which Appointments are available to Providers, you will need to designate that by following the simple steps outlined here.

If you have CareCloud or drchrono for your Practice Management, you will also need to add the Provider's schedule, you can see how to do that by clicking here.
